MINUTES <br /> ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> FEBRUARY 4, 1980 <br /> The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in regular session on <br /> Monday, February 4, 1980, at 10:00 a.m., in the Commissioners Room, of <br /> the Orange County Courthouse, in Hillsborough, North Carolina. <br /> Commissioners present: Commissioner Richard Whitted, Chairman, <br /> and Commissioners Norman Walker, Anne Barnes, Don Willhoit and <br /> Norman Gustaveson. <br /> The following items were added to the agenda: <br /> Agenda Item 18: Extension of Tax Listing Period <br /> Agenda Item 19: Announcements <br /> Agenda Item 20: Resolution for Meritorious Work- <br /> Orange County Health Department <br /> Mrs. Josephine Barbour raised a question about the location of a <br /> County Health Department function involving trading in toothbrushes. <br /> Agenda Item 3: Minutes <br /> Commissioner Barnes moved, seconded by Commissioner Gustaveson, to <br /> approve the minutes of January 28, 1980 as corrected. Vote: ayes, 5; <br /> noes, 0. <br /> Agenda Item 4: EMS Grant <br /> Ms. Sharon Squires, EMS Assistant Project Director for Kerr-Tar <br /> Regional Council of Governments, reviewed for the Board the EMS 1203(2) <br /> grant proposal. For copy of information regarding the grant application <br /> request, see page 300 of this book. <br /> Commissioner Willhoit moved, seconded by Commissioner Gustaveson, to <br /> authorize the Chairman to write a letter in support of the 1203(2) grant <br /> and to designate $153,000 in-kind match for Orange County, subject to <br /> documentation satisfactory to the Orange County Finance Officer. Vote: <br /> ayes, 5; noes, 0. <br /> Agenda Item 5: Resolution - Orange County Industrial <br /> Facilities and Pollution Control Financing <br /> Authority <br /> The County Attorney reviewed a resolution concerning approval of <br /> industrial revenue bonds. <br />
