Agenda Item 10: Appointments <br /> The Chairman said that one person, Donald R. Dickerson, had submitted <br /> a resume and expressed an interest in filling the vacancy on the Orange County <br /> Parks and Recreation Advisory Council. <br /> Commissioner Barnes moved, seconded by Commissioner Walker, to appoint <br /> Donald R. Dickerson, to the Orange County Parks and Recreation Advisory <br /> Council to represent Hillsborough township. Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0. <br /> The Chairman announced that the Orange County School Board recommended <br /> Dr. Dennis Stacey serve as their representative on the Cable TV Citizens <br /> Advisory Committee. <br /> Commissioner Barnes moved, seconded by Commissioner Gustaveson, to <br /> appoint Dr. Dennis Stacey a member of the Orange County Cable TV Citizens <br /> Advisory Committee. Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0. <br /> The Chairman said that he had been requested to name four additional <br /> members to the Triangle J Council of Governments Economic Development <br /> Advisory Committee. He said membership will be expanded to include one <br /> county commissioner, one elected municipal official, one chamber of commerce <br /> representative and one transportation/industrial representative. He said <br /> he had contacted Carrboro, the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce <br /> and the Orange County Industrial Facilities and Pollution Control Financing <br /> Authority to name a member. <br /> The Chairman announced the terms of Benny Cecil, Ron Hyatt and <br /> Evelyn Patterson on the Recreation Advisory Council .would expire <br /> March 1, 1980, The Board requested the Clerk to contact these people <br /> to find out if they would like to be reappointed. <br /> The Chairman announced the Orange County School Board has nominated <br /> Jack R. Martin to represent them on the Orange County Energy Conservation <br /> Commission. <br /> Commissioner Barnes moved, seconded by Commissioner Walker, to <br /> appoint Jack R. Martin to the Orange County Energy Conservation <br /> Commission.
