r-: <br />MINUTES <br />ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />NOVEMBER 2D, 1979 <br />The .Orange County Board of Commissioners met in regular session <br />on Tuesday, November 20, 1979, at 7:30 p.m., in the Commissioners Room, <br />of the Orange County Courthouse, in Hillsborough, North Carolina. <br />Commissioners present:, Commissioner Richard Whitted, Chairman, <br />and Commissioners Norman Walker, Anne Barnes and Don Willhoit. <br />Commissioner Norman Gustaveson was absent. <br />The fallowing items were added to the agenda: <br />Agenda Item 46: Supplementary Bill in Connection with <br />78-79 audit <br />Agenda Item 4C: Audit Contract for Fiscal Year 7g-g0 <br />Agenda Item 2: Ttems of Public Concern <br />Mr. Ben Lloyd questioned the Commissioners about a document pertaining <br />to a state school bond issue. <br />Agenda Item 3: Minutes <br />Commissioner Willhoit moved, seconded by Commissioner Barnes, to <br />approve the minutes of October 16, 1979 as corrected. Vote: ayes, 4; noes, D. <br />Commissioner Willhoit moved, seconded by Commissioner Barnes, to <br />approve the minutes of November 5, 1979 as corrected. Vote: ayes, 4; noes, 0. <br />Agenda Item 4: 1978-79 Audit <br />Mr. Phil Wilson and Mr. Ron Dieterich, representatives of Peat, Marwick, <br />Mitchell & Co. reviewed the County's audit and auditor's letter to <br />management for fiscal year 1978-79. A copy ofi the audit report and letter to <br />management are on file in the Clerk to the Board's office. <br />The auditors requested the Board consider an addendum to <br />Peat Marwick, Mitchell & Co. 1978-79 contract in the amount of $3,500. <br />The Board postponed discussion concerning the addendum to the 1978-79 <br />contract and contract renewa1.for fiscal year 79-80. <br />Agenda Item 5: Results of Bond Referendum <br />Chairman Whitted introduced "A Resolution Declaring the Results of a <br />Special Bond Referendum Held in the County of Orange on November 6, 1979, <br />Upon the Questions of Approving $20,400,D00 Bonds". For copy of this <br />resolution, see page 87 of this bank. <br />
