September 30th. <br />q• Agenda Item 5: Commission for 4Jomen - Coordinator Position <br />lU. Ms. Debbie Lee, Chair of the Commission, gave a brief history of the <br />:L7.. Coordinator's position. N~s. Gail Arneke requested the Commissioners approve <br />12. a part-time coordinator's position for the Commission for Women tivhich <br />?3• would involve approximately 25 hours a week on a regular basis. She <br />1!}. said the coordinator would continue all duties outlined in the job <br />1~. destription and that a part-time secretary had been hired to perform <br />1 6. clerical functions. She requested the Coordinator appointment be subject <br />-7• to a quality review by the Commission for Women. Ms. Christine Maybee <br />].8. said funding for this position would be approximately $5,5D0 for the <br />lq. remainder of the fiscal year. <br />'.U• Mr. Steve Rose spoke in favor of the Commissioner's funding <br />_']., this part-time coordinator's position. <br />22. The County Manager said there would also be two Public Works CETA <br />z3. employees who would terminate September 30th and two Public Works CETA <br />24. employees would would terminate after the first of the year. <br />2 s• Commissioner Willhoit moved, seconded by Commissioner Barnes, <br />26. this item be tabled until the meeting of September 24th, when the Board <br />27e would receive a report on the information it had requested of the CETA <br />28. Director. Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0. <br />29. Agenda Item 7: Legal Services <br />30. Commissioner Willhoit moved, seconded by Commissioner Barnes, <br />31. to accept the Board of Social Services recommendation to approve <br />32. a contract for the legal services of J.
