Watkins <br />The Planning Director explained the Watkins owned a .99 acre <br />tract (Tax map 1, block A, part of lot 12) and requested a variance from <br />having to upgrade their private road from Class "C" to Class "B" standards. <br />Commissioner Willhoit moved, seconded by Commissioner Barnes, <br />to accept the Planning Board's recommendation to grant a variance from <br />having to upgrade the private read from Class "C" to Class "B" private <br />road standards for the minor subdivision of Tony R. and Patricia M. Watkins. <br />Vote: ayes, 4; noes, 0. <br />Agenda Ttem 5: Plans far Count Jail <br />Mr. Joe Nassif, Architect, reviewed suggested plans far <br />improvements to the Orange County jail.. <br />Agenda Item 7A: Appeal of Berini Erothers <br />Mr. Louis Berini, President of Berini Brothers Investment, <br />requested a reduction in his property tax assessment on a 49.5 acre <br />tract in Eno Township (Tax map 25, lat 54) located on US 70 and I-85. <br />Commissioner Whitted said the Board would take Mr. Berini's <br />appeal into consideration, consult with the Tax Supervisor and notify <br />Mr. Berini of the Board's decision within the next 30 days. <br />Agenda Item 7D: Appeal of OWASA <br />Mr. Claude Jones, Attorney far OWASA,requested relief from <br />discovery of property owned by OWASA in Chapel Hill Township .pursuant <br />to GS 105-275 and 162-87. <br />Commissioner Whitted said the Board would ' <br />take OWASA's appeal Into consideration, consult with the County Attorney <br />and Tax Supervisor, and notify OWASA within 30 days of the Board's decision. <br />Agenda Item 7B: Appeal of Merrit Landers <br />Mr. Merrit Landers requested reduction of the property tax <br />assessment of his residence in Glen Heights (Tax map 29, block A, lot I2) <br />in Chapel Hill Township.. <br />Commissioner Whitted said the Board would notify Mr. Landers <br />of its decision. <br />1 <br />-2- <br />
