Cameron St <br />Hillsborough, NC 27278 <br />Dear Dr. Ranells: <br />NOTIFICATION OF FUNDING OFFER <br />On behalf of Commissioner Steve Troxler, and the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer <br />Services -Marketing Division, it is with great pleasure that I offer to you $20,000 for your project approved <br />under the Specialty Crop Block Grant Program (SCBG). The name of your approved project is "Enhancing <br />Sustainable Specialty Crop Production in the Piedmont', and is for the purpose of enhancing the <br />competitiveness of North Carolina grown specialty crops in either domestic or foreign markets. These funds <br />for the Specialty Crop Block Grant Program are being provided to the Department by the US Department of <br />Agriculture, Agricultural Marketing Service. <br />Enclosed are two original contrails for your review and acceptance. By signing and dating these documents <br />you are agreeing to the specific stipulations; the general terms and conditions; special provisions, and <br />specific reporting requirements. It is requested that you return both original contracts, making sure that the <br />contracts and certain forms have been signed and dated. Some documents may be required to be notarized, <br />please make certain documents are notarized, as applicable, before they are returned to the address <br />provided on page 4 of your contract. <br />Upon final execution by the Department, one original contrail will be forwarded to you for your records.
