w <br />Commissioner Gustaveson moved, seconded by Commissioner Barnes, <br />to authorize the County Attorney to draw up an official resolution <br />that meets standards of bond counsel that would authorize a referendum <br />for $20.4 million worth of bonds to finance a Capital Improvements Pi an <br />as outlined below and that referendum be held on November 6, 1979- __ <br />County Government <br />$ 4,066.4 <br />Orange County Schools $10,173.3 <br />Chapel Hill-Carrboro Schools <br />7 629.2 <br />Total $21,868.$ <br />Operating Budget $ 1,500.0 <br />R~0~36~_$ <br />REFERENDUM $20.4 million <br />Vote: ayes, 4; noes, 0. <br />Dr. Hanes and Dr. Simmons answered questions about Chapel Hi11-Carrboro <br />and Orange County schools' current budget requests. <br />The Board requested the attorney. for Chapel Hill-Carrboro Schools, <br />Orange County Schools and Orange County Government meet with appropriate - <br />persons in Raleigh to indicate Orange County Board of Commissioners <br />intent to consider bringing suit to obtain funding for exceptional children. <br />The Board discussed additional budget figures for the following <br />programs: Council on aging, JOCCA, Nutrition Program, Human Services <br />Coordinator, Health Department, Rape Crisis Center, Coalition for Battered <br />Women and Women's Health Council, Libraries and Municipal Support. <br />Thereafter, the Chairman called for the meeting to be adjourne . <br />i" a ~~/~ ~ <br />r Richard E.
