JJ( <br />".~~:= '. <br />Agenda Item 3: Re uest from New Ho a Rescue S uad <br />The Chairman received a letter from the Chief of the New Hope <br />Rescue Squad requesting the Board notify FHA that the purchase of <br />a 1979 Ford Super Van Ambulance with related accessories is consistent <br />with county development plans. For copy of this letter, see page 509 of <br />this book. <br />Commissioner Willhoit moved, seconded by Commissioner Barnes, the <br />Board table this request until it receives further information about an <br />additional ambulance. Vote: ayes, 4; noes, 0. <br />The Board requested a member of the New Hape Rescue Squad appear <br />before the Board to supply additional information and explain this request. <br />Agenda Item 7: Report of Orange County School..,System <br />Dr. Mike Simmons and Mr. Dan Lunsford reported to the Commissioners <br />requested information concerning available state funding to the Orange <br />County School System and available funding to other units. <br />Agenda Item 6: Budget Deliberations on 1979-80 Budget <br />The County Manager and Finance Officer reviewed the General Administrative <br />portion of the proposed 1979-$0 budget. <br />The Board requested the following human service agencies be invited to <br />attend a work session in Carrboro, at 7:30 p.m. on June I4, 1979, Room I10, <br />Carrboro Town Hall, to answer questions or provide the Board w-:h additional <br />information: Council on Aging, JOCCA, RSVP, ACCESS, Oasis, Chapel Hill <br />dnd Hyconeechee Libraries, Coalition for Battered Women, Rape Crisis Center, <br />Women's Health, and Recreation Advisory Committee. <br />The Board requested agencies with CIP requests 6e invited to attend <br />the meeting of June 12, 1979, to be held in the Commissioners Room, Orange <br />County Courthouse, at 7:30 p.m. <br />There being no further business to come before the Board, the Chairman <br />called for the meeting to adjourn. <br />~~ ~ /~_ <br />,Richard E.
