State funding
increased. only an estimated 3 % for Chapel Hill-Carrboro School System
and an estimated 6% for Orange County School System. Th is is not a
realistic effort on the State's part to provide quality educational
opportunities for every child. State is not providing adequate funding
to meet educational needs identified in the area of exceptional children.
We urge your attention to this prior to adoption of next biennium
budget.
