The fio1lowing items were offered <br />for discussion: Objective: 1. Develop a land use plan, including <br />statements of the goals, objectives, policies, and programs to guide <br />land development county-wide, but especially in jointly planned areas. <br />a) Define the jointly planned area, including boundaries and total size. <br />b) Analyze these transition areas relative to the rest of Orange County to <br />prevent leapfrog development. Another suggested agenda item was discussion <br />of the Board of Commissioners' resolution for an extension of extraterritorial <br />planning jurisdiction dated October 23, 1978. <br />Commissioner Willhoit suggested the Planning Staff study topographic <br />data to identify the area that can be served by gravity sewers. He felt <br />the county should proceed immediately to consider a mechanism to adopt <br />Chapel Mill's subdivision standards in that area. <br />Agenda Item 2: Human Services Advisory Commission <br />Alderman Kawalec suggested the Rape Crisis Center, Coalition for <br />Battered Women, Women's Health and ACCE55 be included in Human Services <br />Advisory Commission membership. <br />Chairman Whitted said this item would be referred to the Human <br />Services Advisory Commission. <br />Agenda Item 3: Funding of Human Services <br />Mayor Wallace requested discussion of human services funding. No <br />action was taken on this item. <br />
