Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0. <br />Agenda Item 24: Ca ital Im rovements Plan <br />The Board decided to review elements of the county's portion of <br />the tentative Capital Improvements Plan at its meeting on May 10th <br />after hearing the mental health budget presentation. <br />~ The Board will set a time to review the total plan ,with all agencies <br />involved at a later date. <br />Agenda Item 25: Announcements <br />The Board will meet with the Hillsborough Town Board at noon, on <br />May 15th, at the Colonial Inn. <br />The Board will meet with the Chapel Hill Board of Aldermen at <br />4:00 p.m. on May 22nd, in the Aldermen's Room, Chapel Hill Municipal Building. <br />The Chairman announced the Senior Citizens of Efland-Cheeks Multi- <br />purpose Center had invited the Board to a "Thank You to the Orange <br />County Commissioners Dinner" to be held June 2nd, at 6:00 p.m., at the <br />Efland Multipurpose Center. <br />The Chairman announced Orange County had been selected to receive <br />a NACo New County, USA Achievement Award for outstanding Central Emergency <br />Communications Program. <br />Commissioner Barnes announced the Board had been invited to attend <br />Mental Health's 'annual potluck dinner and the Chairman had advised <br />t{~Q 3oard members had a conflict. <br />Commissioner Barnes announced an open house at the Northside <br />Multipurpose Center in Chapel Hill by the Mental Health Association <br />on May 20th from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. <br />Agenda Item 26: Report from Health Director <br />The Chairman requested the Health Director to report on a complaint <br />made by Everett Squires, Cheeks Township, at the Board of Equalization <br />and Review meeting on May 3rd concerning the dumping of chicken manure. <br />Commissioner sustaveson moved, seconded by Commissioner Barnes, <br />the Board move into executive session to discuss potential litigation <br />regarding a health matter.
