~j ., ~_ <br />a,P <br />Commissioner Barnes moved, seconded by Commissioner Willhoit, the <br />Board accept the recommendation of the Register of Deeds regarding the <br />adoption of a proposed budget, the establishment of the Land Title Records <br />Advisory Committee with appointments being made at a later date, and _.... <br />bringing Orange County fully under the provisions of GS 161.22.2. <br />Vote: ayes, 3; noes, 0. <br />Agenda Item 15: Board of Equalization and Review <br />Each member of the Board of Commissioners read and signed the Oath <br />of Office and filed same with the Clerk to the Board. The notarized oaths _ <br />were then filed by the Clerk to the Board with the Secretary to the Board <br />of Equalization and Review. <br />Chairman Whitted convened the first meeting of the Board of Equalization <br />and Review. The Board set Board of Equalization and Review meetings to <br />be held May 3, 1979 and May 9, 1979, at 7:30 p.m., in the Commissioners <br />meeting room, Orange County Courthouse, Hillsborough, North Carolina. <br />Thereafter, the first meeting of the Board of Equalization and Review <br />was adjourned. <br />Agenda Item 7: Cha el Hill Kiwanis Club Fireworks pis la <br />The Chapel Hill Kiwanis Club requested the Board of Gommissioners <br />approve their fireworks display to be held July 4, 1979 at Kenan Stadium. <br />Commissioner Willhoit moved, seconded by Commissioner Barnes, <br />the Chapel Hi11 Kiwanis Club be allowed to hold a fireworks display in <br />Kenan Stadium on ;,..e evening of July Q, 1979. Vote: ayes, 3, noes, O. <br />Agenda Item 9: Re uest b Hillsborou h re Final <br />Community Development Application <br />The Chairman stated the Town of Hillsborough had requested county <br />planning staff assistance in the preparation oft their final community <br />development application. <br />Commissioner Barnes moved, seconded by Commissioner Willhoit, the <br />Board agree to an arrangement with the Town of Hillsborough for assistance <br />in the preparation of its final CD application and that the Board convey <br />to the Town that this action should not be interpreted as a commitment to <br />any more than this one phase.
