{~ - - <br />9 ti •rT <br />3~~i <br />Commissioner Willhoit made the following substitute motion: <br />Commissioner Willhoit moved, seconded by Gommissioner Gustaveson, <br />the Board give tentative approval of the IV-D budget with the explanation, <br />that the Board intends to try to reduce the budget to fall within the <br />7 percent guidelines before the Board gives final approval through its <br />normal budgetary processes. <br />Commissioner Willhoit left the meeting at this time and .returned <br />to the meeting at 2:15 p.m. <br />Commissioner Barnes moved, seconded by Commissioner Gustaveson, <br />to table motions on the floor until the afternoon session. Vote: <br />ayes, 4; noes, 0. <br />The Chairman recessed the meeting until 2:15. <br />Commissioner Barnes moved, seconded 6y Commissioner Gustaveson, <br />to remove from table the motions considered before the lunch break. <br />Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0. <br />Commissioner Walker proposed representatives from the State <br />be requested to make explanations to the Board about the IV-O program <br />which would give the Board a better understanding of the program. <br />Commissioner Willhoit withdrew his motion. <br />Commissioner Barnes withdrew her motion. <br />Commissioner Barnes moved, seconded by Commissioner Willhoit, <br />the Board amend the IV-D budget presented April 2, 1979 by removing <br />$500 from the legal category, which would bring the budget into the <br />7 percent guideline; and, that the Board give its tentative approval <br />of the amended IV-D budget; and, that the Board request state representatives <br />to explain the IV-D program and explore all .possible options for <br />administering the program at a future Board meeting. Vote: ayes, 5; <br />noes, 0. - -, ` ~ - a '_ , <br />Agenda Item 16: Presentation by Orange Industries• <br />Dr. Henry Cobb submitted a proposal for an adult services center for <br />the handicapped. For-.copy of this proposal, see page 3 3 ~ of this book. <br />Mr. Gary Julian, pirector of Facilities Programs for Orange Industries, <br />and Mr. Bill Houck, Ms. Margaret Barry and Mr. Al West endorsed. the. <br />proposal. <br />Commissioner Barnes requested this item be`incorporated - <br />with other capital improvement plans to 6e considered in mid-May, <br />
