s <br />Orange County <br />Environment ~ Resource Conservation <br />306-A Revere Road / PO Box 8181 <br />Hillsborough, NC 27278 <br />Phone: (919) 245-2510, Fax: (919) 644-3351 <br />Seven Mile Creek Preserve <br />November 11, 2009 <br />Donna Baker <br />Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners <br />200 South Cameron Street <br />Hillsborough, NC 27278 <br />Dear Ms. Baker: <br />The Commission for the Environment has three existing vacancies resulting from two <br />resignations from the board (Kirk Ross and Dawn Santoianni) and one term that has <br />expired (Johnny Randall). <br />The CFE Membership Committee recommends the following three names for <br />appointment to these three current vacancies on the Commission: <br />Ricky White <br />May Becker <br />Lynette Batt <br />The committee feels that their backgrounds will fill existing needs on the board. <br />In terms of the "special representation" seats on the CFE, Ricky White is suggested for <br />the Land Resources slot vacated by Johnny Randall (position #3). The Engineering <br />representation will be addressed from among current membership at a later date. <br />Finally, on November 9, the CFE elected the following new officers for next year: <br />William (Bill) Kaiser (Chair) and Renee Price (Vice-chair).
