Mr. Wilson
September 8, 2009
Page 2
Based on the field evaluation, it was determined that the drainage feature indicated by
the topographic data (Feature A) is not a stream and therefore not subject to the buffer
rules. In fact, our evaluation did not even identify ephemeral channels within the tract,
nor did we find evidence of other water features. Thus, the tract would not be subject to
the stream buffer rules.
If you have questions about this determination please contact me at (919) 245 -2588. If
you have further questions about the application of the Zoning Ordinance to this
property please contact Current Planning Staff at 919 - 245 -2575.
Sincerely,
Terry L. Hackett
Stormwater Resource Officer/ Erosion Control Officer II
Attachment: Aerial Photograph / Map
cc: Craig Benedict, Director Orange County Planning & Inspections
Ren Ivins, Supervisor Orange County Erosion Control Division
Michael Harvey, Zoning Officer, Orange County Planning & Inspections
Bob Sallach, President, Olver Inc.
File
