Natural Heritage Program <br />SUBJECT: EA — Orange Coutity Solid Waste Transfer Station; Orange County <br />REFERENCE: 10 -4124 <br />Dee Freeman <br />Secretary <br />The Natural Heritage Program has no record of significant natural commtmitie4i sigoifimt natural <br />heritap areas, or conservation/managed areas at the site nor within 03-mile ofthe project arcs, other <br />than the fact that the project sito is located on Orange County -owned land. known as Miilhouse Road <br />Park. According to Exhibit 1-1 in the EA, this portions of this tract will be a proposed soccer park, as <br />opposed to a "nature preserve" type of park. <br />There are several natural areas and conservation areas, owned by Duke University, about 0.3 to 0.4 mile <br />west of the project site, as shown on Exhibit 14. of the EA..
