OQ D - a'kDOG - 181 <br />Child Care Health Consultant Program <br />Grant Project Ordinance <br />Be it ordained by the Orange County Board of County Commissioners that pursuant to Section <br />13.2 of Chapter 159 of the General Statutes of North Carolina, the following grant project is <br />hereby adopted. <br />Section 1. The project authorized is the Child Care Health Consultant Program as awarded <br />to the Orange County Health Department by the Orange County Partnership for <br />Young Children (OCPYC), the local Smart Start Agency. This grant provides <br />funding for 1.0 permanent, time - limited Registered Nurse position through the <br />grant period to assist child care providers in assuring safe and healthy child care <br />environments. <br />Section 2. Under the terms of the agreement, Orange County will administer the grant as <br />fiscal agent. The officers of the County are hereby directed to proceed with the <br />grant project within the rules and regulations contained in the grant document, the <br />rules and regulations of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human <br />Services and the budget contained herein. <br />Section 3. The following revenue is anticipated to be available to complete this project: <br />Smart Start (2007 -08) <br />$57,950 <br />Transfer from General Fund (FY 2007 -08) <br />$9,622 <br />Smart Start (2008 -09) <br />$75,732 <br />Smart Start (2009 -10) <br />$75,732 <br />Total Revenue <br />$219,036 <br />Section 4. The following amount is appropriated for this project: <br />Child Care Health Consultant (2007 -08) <br />$67,572 <br />Child Care Health Consultant (2008 -09) <br />$75,732 <br />Child Care Health Consultant (2009 -10) <br />$75,732 <br />Child Care Health Consultant Appropriation <br />$219,036 <br />Section 5. The finance officer is hereby directed to maintain within the grant project sufficient <br />specific detailed accounting records to provide the accounting to the grantor agency <br />required by the grant agreement and federal and state regulations. <br />Section 6. Funds may be advanced from the general fund for the purpose of making payments <br />due. Reimbursement requests should be made to the grantor agency in an orderly <br />and timely manner. <br />Section 7. Copies of this grant project ordinance shall be made available to the finance officer <br />for direction in carrying out this project. <br />
