,~ "`' . <br />J <br />~. <br />~. <br />~.. <br />Agenda Item 20: Request from New Hape Rescue_Squad <br />The Chairman announced the New Hope Rescue Squad had requested the <br />Board write a letter to the FarmErs Home Administration indicating <br />the New Hope Rescue Squad receives financial support from Orange <br />County Board of Commissioners. <br />Commissioner Willhoit moved, seconded by Commissioner Barnes, <br />this item be tabled until the March 26th meeting. Vote: ayes, 5; <br />noes, 0. <br />The County Attorney announced several challenges against the <br />North Carolina Statutes governing solicitations had been successful <br />and a Superior Court Judge had declared the State Statute unconstitutional. <br />He said he had reviewed case law from the Federal Courts and was now <br />in the process of preparing an ordinance with would comply with Federal <br />guidelines. <br />There being. no further business, .Commissioner Gustaveson moved, <br />seconded by Commissioner Barnes, the meeting be adjourned. <br />Richard E.
