~. <br />Commissioner Willhait moved, seconded by Commissioner Gustaveson, <br />to request the Planning Staff and the Planning Board prepare a <br />recommendation to this Board on the manner in which existing mobile <br />home parks in this area can be brought into compliance with the zoning _ <br />ordinance, specifically as is concerned with density; and, to consider <br />the reasonableness of the existing zoning ordinance as it relates to <br />density. Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0. <br />Agenda Item 6: Live Virus Rabies Vaccination Program <br />The Health Director reported there would be some killed virus <br />rabies vaccine used in North Carolina this year; however, he recommended <br />the Board proceed with the modified live virus, veterinarian-administered <br />program. He said the program will consist of 16 - 17 clinic sites. <br />One-third of these sites will be manned by veterinarians on May 4, <br />May 11, and May 18 (Fridays) from 6:30 p.m. The agreed cost will <br />be $4.00 per dog to the public. He said the veterinarians will <br />provide staffing and collect fees. <br />Commissioner Willhoit moved, seconded by Commissioner Barnes, to <br />adapt the Health Director's recommendation. Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0. <br />Commissioner Gustaveson moved, seconded by Commissioner Barnes, <br />the doctors be permitted to charge the public at the rate of $4.00 <br />per animal for the live virus vaccination at the clinics. Vote: ayes, 5; noes, G, <br />Agenda Item 7: Emergency Fuel Allocation Plans <br />The Energy Coordinator reviewed her memorandum concerning county <br />preparations for a petroleum shortage. For copy of this memorandum, <br />see page P7g of this book. <br />Commissioner Gustaveson moved, seconded by Commissioner Barnes, <br />to authorize the Energy Coordinator to set up~an Orange County Emergency <br />Energy Committee composed of the following individuals: Director of <br />the Agricultural Extension Service, Civil Defense Coordinator, <br />Orange County Energy Coordinator, a representative from Chapel Hill .' <br />and a. representative from Carrboro, a representative from Orange County <br />Oil Jobbers, President or designee of the service station operators <br />and Mr. John Hatch, Chairman, JOCCA Energy Committee.
