Commissioner Whitted requested <br />a status report of expenses vs. revenues be included in the memorandum. <br />Agenda Item 5E: Northside Pro ert <br />The County Attorney reported to the Board the status of negotiations <br />to convey a portion of the Northside property to the Chapel Hill blousing <br />Authority. <br />Agenda Item 6: Desecration of the Flaq <br />The County Attorney presented the Board with a letter regarding <br />the Board's legal responsibilities in conjunction with the flag burning <br />incident that occurred in Chapel Hill on January 28, 1979. For copy <br />of this letter, with attachments, see page 186 of this book. <br />Commissioner Walker moved the Board make an expression of its <br />contempt for desecration of the flag. Motion died far lack of <br />a second. <br />Agenda Item 7A: Rabies Vaccination program <br />The Health Director reported on February 8 the Board of Health voted <br />to recommend the county immediately implement a modified live virus rabies <br />vaccination program consisting of county-run clinics with attending <br />veterinarians administering the vaccinations. <br />Commissioner Willhoit moved, seconded by Commissioner.Gustaveson, <br />the Board authorize the Wealth Director to appoint rabies inspectors <br />in anticipation of a modified live virus rabies vaccination program <br />and to prepare a proposal including a fee schedule and what would be <br />needed to conduct the plan. Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0. <br />Agenda Item 7B :. Family Planning Budget <br />Commissioner Gustaveson moved, seconded by Commissioner Barnes, the <br />Board give tentative approval to the Health Department's Family Planning <br />Budget for the coming year. Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0. <br />For copy of said budget, see page 190 of this book. <br />Agenda Item 7C: Water Service Extension to Route 70 East <br />The Health Director said the Board of Health resolved, at its <br />February 8th meeting, that there is a clear health hazard to residents <br />along Route 70 East (from the county line to the Durham Kennel) and <br />the Board of Health wishes this this to be made known to those responsible <br />for planning and providing of water supplies to the county. <br /> <br />
