Obiective PR-5.4: 39 <br /> Encourage development of a system of private open space and conservation areas, <br /> including nature preserves, parks, linear parks, and scenic vistas compatible with the <br /> character of Orange County. (See also Natural Areas Objectives NA-11, NA-12, and <br /> NA-16, and Transportation Objective T- 1.5.) <br /> Status/Action: Ongoing <br /> This is a stated priority of the Lands Legacy Program and was reiterated in the Joint <br /> Master Parks and Recreation Work Group Report of 1999 and other parks planning <br /> documents. Connectivity of open spaces is a current priority for Lands Legacy, its <br /> conservation partners, and the intergovernmental Parks Work Group. <br /> Objective PR-5.5: <br /> Develop linear parks and rustic trails in the Rural Buffer, and explore opportunities <br /> for preservation and connectivity along other identified stream corridors. <br /> Status/Action: Initiated <br /> The concept for a New Hope Rustic Woodland Trail has been identified in recent <br /> parks plans, as well as in discussions about the Mountains to Sea Trail corridor.
