PUBLIC CHARGE <br /> The Board of Commissioners pledges to the citizens of Orange County its respect. The <br /> Board asks its citizens to conduct themselves in a respectful, courteous manner, both <br /> with the Board and with fellow citizens. At any time should any member of the Board or <br /> any citizen fail to observe this public charge, the Chair will ask the offending member to <br /> leave the meeting until that individual regains personal control. Should decorum fail to <br /> be restored, the Chair will recess the meeting until such time that a genuine <br /> commitment to this public charge is observed. All electronic devices such as cell <br /> phones, pagers, and computers should please be turned off or set to silent/vibrate. <br /> C. PUBLIC HEARING ITEMS <br /> 1. Rezoning — Intersection of NC 54 and White Cross Road: To receive public <br /> comments on a proposed rezoning of a parcel of property at the intersection of NC <br /> 54 and White Cross Road (TMBL 6.30..7M / PIN 9749-40-0293) from Agricultural <br /> Residential (AR) to Neighborhood Commercial Two (NC-2). <br /> 2. Sign Ordinance Amendments — Outdoor Advertising Signs (Billboards): To <br /> receive public comments on a proposed text amendment to Article Nine (9) Signs of <br /> the Zoning Ordinance to develop language outlining the County's limitations on the <br /> regulation of outdoor advertising signs (i.e. billboards). <br /> 3. Telecommunication Wireless Support Structures (Telco Towers): To receive <br /> public comments on the proposal by the County to use certain County properties as <br /> potential sites for Telco Towers. The process to enroll these sites as part of the <br /> zoning code's Master Telecommunications Plan (MTP) does not require a formal <br /> public hearing. However, since possible future tower development to serve the <br /> needs of public safety, information technology, and economic development on <br /> behalf of citizens and businesses, Orange County is bringing this provision forward <br /> for public discussion. <br />
