Hollow Rock Access Area Attachment 2 56 <br />Potential Acquisition of the TLC Property <br />The Triangle Land Conservancy (TLC) purchased 2.6 acres in 2002 with the <br />intent of establishing the Hollow Rock Access Area. The local government <br />partners should consider acquiring the TLC property (as recommended by <br />the Committee) and determine whether the existing house would be useful <br />for the park. <br />TLC has been instrumental in acquiring other portions of the New Hope Preserve, <br />so decisions on this 2.6 -acre parcel should be considered in context with the larger <br />role TLC has played in protection of the New Hope Creek corridor. The property <br />does contain a house and other outbuildings, the disposition or maintenance of <br />which should be evaluated as part of any proposal to consider acquisition. TLC is <br />developing a proposal for possible sale of the property to the partners. Potential <br />cost - shares, and access issues with an adjoining landowner will need to be taken <br />into consideration. <br />
