~~ <br />The Board set February 15th at 5:30 as the date and time to complete the <br />February 5th agenda. <br />Agenda Item 32: Executive Session <br />Commissioner Barnes moved, seconded by Commissioner Willhoit, the Board <br />move into executive session to consider the decision of the State Property Tax <br />Commission, acquisition of a tract of real property and certain litigation. <br />Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0. • <br />Commissioner Gustaveson moved, seconded by Commissioner Barnes, to <br />approve the County Attorney's recommendation to appeal all aspects of the <br />State Property Tax Commission's decision that are adverse to Orange County. <br />Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0. <br />Commissioner Willhoit moved, seconded by Commissioner Barnes, to indicate <br />to Jae Wackney the county has a serious interest in property that adjoins <br />Northside School, 301 McMasters Street, but would like a committee consisting <br />of Don Willhoit, Norman Walker, an appraiser from the Tax Supervisor's office <br />and a member of the staff to visit the property, talk to Joe Hackney about terms <br />and price, and submit their recommendation to the Board of Commissioners. <br />Vote: ayes, 5; noes, 0, <br />The Chairman called for public session to convene to make the following <br />announcements: The Board of Commissioners has agreed to appeal the State Property <br />lax Commission's decision in all matters adverse to Orange County; a committee <br />consisting of Board members and staff will examine a tract of real property <br />the Board may wish to acquire and make a report to the Commissioners; the <br />Board has reached an agreement with the Lake Forest Association .in Lake <br />Forest Association vs. Orange County : The Board of Commissioners will enforce <br />and comply with the Erosion Control Ordinance and will, fora period of one year, <br />notify Lake Forest Association of any activities within the drainage basin of <br />Lake Forest; thereafter, the Board will supply information upon the request <br />of the Lake Forest Association. <br />Upon motion of Commissioner Barnes, seconded by Commissioner Willhoit, <br />the meeting was then adjourned.
