0'7 S <br />SECTIOV XX- DEFI~ITIOVS <br />Unless otherwise stated the following wards shall, fer purposes <br />of this ordinance, have the following definitions. Wards used in. <br />the present tense shall be understood to include the futuxe tense. <br />Words used in the singular shall be understood to include the <br />plural. <br />ALLEY - A roadway which affords only a secondary means of access <br />to abutting property and not intended .for general traffic <br />circulation_ - <br />_ - --. - - _ <br />CUL-DE--SAC - A short street having but one erid•open to traffic <br />and the ocher end being permanently terminated by .a vehicular <br />turnaround. <br />DEDICATIDY - A gift, by the owner, 'of land for a specified <br />purpose, or purposes. Because a transfer of property is <br />entailed, dedication must be made by written instrument and <br />is completed with an acceptance. <br />EP.SEMENT -- A grant of rights by the property owner to a parcel <br />of land r"or a specified purpose and use by the public, a cox- <br />. porat3.on, or persons. <br />.~~;e 7 Definitions ~ <br />1. Amend the definition of easement to read as follows: A grant of rights <br />by the property owner to a portion of land for a specified purpose. • <br />2.
