A County -wide (including municipalities and UNC) addressing model <br />has also been developed for more efficient public safety response, uniformity <br />across all jurisdictions within Orange County, conformity to federal grant <br />requirements, and compliance with NCOneMap. <br />A LaserFiche system was also implemented to provide staff and the public with <br />an efficient mechanism for searching BOCC minutes and ordinances, and <br />Information Technologies partnered with DSS to implement Northwoods <br />paperless automation. <br />Staff is currently working on a Self - Service Employee Application for potential <br />use with the following functions: <br />• Timesheet entry and approval <br />• Benefits enrollment <br />• Employee information maintenance <br />• Travel Expenses <br />• Vacation /Sick leave requests <br />• Employee training <br />• Work performance management <br />Staff is also currently working on the steps to implement the Granicus streaming <br />video solution for web - casting meetings to the public and also the Property <br />Information Management System for greater efficiency, cross - departmental <br />synergies for land related functions, including taxation <br />Staff has also allocated more laptops to increase field worker efficiencies <br />Planning <br />The installation of the automated release valve and remote monitoring equipment <br />at Lake Orange will greatly decrease the amount of staff time and resources <br />required to operate the lake. Staff is in the process of writing the specifications <br />for this project. Bidding for this project is expected to take place in late January <br />or early February. The contract should be brought to the BOCC for approval at <br />that time. <br />12)lmplement County's environmental responsibility goals (Goal 5, 4 <br />votes) <br />ERCD <br />A draft County Environmental Leadership Policy has been created for Board <br />consideration and an Environmental Stewardship Action Committee °(ESAC) has <br />been formed, already meeting on five occasions (Environmental Responsibility <br />Goal - Objective 1). <br />
