Based on the work of three library task forces (2000, 2004 and 2007) and a <br />subgroup of the 2000 effort (an archival task force), the 2009 Work Group members were <br />charged with providing the BOCC with a clear snapshot of the financial and operational <br />requirements needed to support the needs and expectations of such a facility. Specifically, the <br />group was asked to do research and make recommendations related to the scope, organization, <br />financing, administration, collection development, and public/ private support for a proposed <br />Heritage Center. <br />The members of the Heritage Center Work Group are: <br />• Lucinda Munger, Director, Orange County Libraries <br />• Elizabeth Read, Executive Director, Alliance for Historic Hillsborough <br />• Darcie Beecroft Martin, Executive Director, Orange County Historical Museum <br />• Katharine Paulhamus, Executive Director, Burwell School <br />• Richard Ellington, Representative, Durham -Orange Genealogical Society <br />• Tina Moon, Staff to the Orange County Historic Preservation Commission <br />• Traci Davenport, Director, Chapel Hill Museum <br />• Ernest Dollar, Director, Preservation Society of Chapel Hill <br />• Laurie Paolicelli, Executive Director, Chapel Hill /Orange County Visitors Bureau <br />• Nicole Ard, Assistant Town Manager, Town of Hillsborough <br />• Carl Baumann, Volunteer, Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) <br />
