Attachment 1 <br />i~ <br />communication plan will assist with educating employees about the wellness program, <br />how do you currently inform employees about activities or policies? <br />Employees are currently and will be informed of wellness activities through various <br />marketing channels. Information is shared through the Employee Relations <br />Consortium Representative from each department; mass emails are sent, as are <br />paycheck stuffers distributed to all staffers; messages are shared in the employee <br />newsletter; posters/flyers are posted in common areas of county buildings and <br />information displays are set up at county employee events; a message board has <br />been established on the HR Website and Intranet; a Wellness Listserv for <br />interested employees will be created; and, most importantly, wellness messages <br />and events are promoted by `word of mouth' of Health and Wellness Committee <br />members and other employees. <br />7. Incentives <br />How will you motivate employees to participate in the wellness program? Are there <br />incentives the member is willing to use to engage employees in the program? <br />~ -- - - <br />____ - _ Incentive Strategy <br />Incentive items will be awarded based on achievement of behavior goals and <br />program participation. Given the recent changes in the County budget, it is <br />expected that employees will also be motivated to participate in the wellness <br />programs to keep costs of health care low. <br />8.
