Recognition of Pink Campaign Sponsors <br />The Board recognized local business partners who were major contributors with <br />donations of money, goods, or services to promote Breast Cancer Awareness through the <br />Emergency Services Pink Campaign. <br />Emergency Services Director Frank Montes de Oca said that October is Breast Cancer <br />Awareness Month and EMS has decided to be more visible. He said that there has been a <br />team that has put together this campaign -Doris Cecil, Kim Butler, Kim Woodward, and Lori <br />Buche. Through the month of October, the field staff and the staff at headquarters will be <br />wearing pink in some form. He said that a lot of businesses in the community donated <br />services, funds, and products to total about $3,000 so that no County funds would be spent. <br />He recognized these businesses: <br />Total Exposures -hats and design work <br />Eurosport -shirts and logos <br />PHE, Inc. - $1,000 donation <br />Carolina Recording Systems - $250 donation <br />Mincy's Graphics -logos on staff vehicles <br />c. Orange County Comprehensive Transportation Plan <br />The Board received a presentation from North Carolina Department of Transportation <br />(NCDOT) Transportation Planning staff, Triangle Area Rural Planning Organization staff and <br />
