Foushee, and <br />17 Commissioners Alice M. Gordon, Barry Jacobs, Pam Hemminger, Mike Nelson, <br />18 Bernadette Pelissier, and Steve Yuhasz <br />19 COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ABSENT: <br />20 COUNTY ATTORNEYS PRESENT: John Roberts <br />21 COUNTY STAFF PRESENT: Interim County Manager Frank Clifton, Assistant County <br />22 Managers Willie Best and Gwen Harvey, and Clerk to the Board Donna S. Baker (All <br />23 other staff members will be identified appropriately below) <br />24 ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION MEMBERS PRESENT: Chair Anne <br />25 Medenbleck, Vice-Chair Tony McKnight, and Board members Eddie Eubanks, Debbie <br />26 Piscitelli, Ted Triebel, and Susan Hallman. Superintendent Patrick Rhodes was also <br />27 present. <br />28 ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION MEMBERS ABSENT: Steve Halkiotis <br />29 CHAPEL HILL-CARRBORO CITY SCHOOL BOARD OF EDUCATION MEMBERS <br />30 PRESENT: Chair Lisa Stuckey and Board Members Jamezetta Bedford, Mia Day <br />31 Burroughs, Jean Hamilton, Gregory McElveen, and Superintendent Neil Pedersen was <br />32 also present. <br />33 CHAPEL HILL-CARRBORO CITY SCHOOL BOARD OF EDUCATION MEMBERS <br />34 ABSENT: Vice Chair Mike Kelley and Annetta Streater <br />35 <br />36 The meeting was called to order at 7:07pm by Commissioner Foushee. <br />37 <br />38 A motion was made by Commissioner Nelson, seconded by Commissioner <br />39 Hemminger to amend the agenda by adding an item, "Stimulus Funding for <br />40 Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program Award." <br />41 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />42 <br />43 Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re-Housing Program Award <br />44 The Board considered accepting a Homelessness Prevention and Rapid Re- <br />45 Housing Program award of $1 million, authorizing the execution of the associated State <br />46 Contract and asub-recipient contract with Housing for New Hope by the Chair of the <br />47 Board of County Commissioners upon contract review and approval by the County <br />48 Attorney's office. <br />49 Frank Clifton said that the County has been awarded a $1 million grant for this <br />50 program. <br />
