The data will not be very useful statistically in the <br />short-term. <br />Commissioner Jacobs said that this seems to have relevance to the subdivision process <br />and to the land use plan. He asked if there was any way to coordinate this with the land use <br />plan process. <br />Dave Stancil said that they have coordinated with the natural cultural systems element, <br />but there has not been a consideration at the land use element. He will look at this and see <br />how they mesh. <br />Commissioner Yuhasz suggested not tying this to the land use plan because there will <br />not be any useful information in the short-term. <br />Commissioner Gordon said that the budget was cut for this item, so they are trying to <br />work within the amended budget. If things are to move faster, then more money is needed. <br />She suggested having staff come back in six months with a report, and then more money can <br />be considered for next fiscal year. <br />PUBLIC COMMENT: <br />Rev. Robert Campbell said that he wants to petition the Board of County Commissioners <br />to allocate funding for groundwater testing around the Orange County landfill because a survey <br />was done on ground and surface water and the data show that their water is contaminated. He <br />suggested starting with a small survey in the Rogers Road neighborhood. <br />Frank Clifton said that the County has been monitoring wells all around the landfill as <br />part of the landfill permit. He said that there have not been any permit violations. There can be <br />
