~ ~~a ~' <br />Mr, Bill O'Brien spoke to why the request for rezoning had been <br />changed from multi-family to general commercial. <br />A resident of Cedar Hills and a Mr. Charles Pullen spoke in opposition <br />to this request to rezone. <br />Agenda Item 3: Timberlyne Subdivision Petition, to Rezone <br />The planning Director explained this request was to rezone 92.9 acres <br />in Chapel Hill Township along State Road 1733 (Weaver Dairy Road), Tax Map 24, <br />Lot 28, from residential to general commercial. <br />Mr. Robert Page spoke on behalf of Timberlyne Associates, <br />Mr. Jim Heavner, an associate of Village Company, spoke on behalf of <br />Timberlyne's request. Mr. Bill O'Brien pointed out 6 acres north of <br />Weaver-Dairy Road for a proposed office park far WCHL. Mr. Will Mann, <br />a co-owner of a nearby mobile home park, said he was not opposed to this <br />rezoning request. <br />The Chairperson of the Chapel Hill Planning Board said the Chapel <br />Hill Planning Board recommended delaying action on this request until <br />a decision had been made on the planning area. <br />Mr. Kenneth Cheek, Jr., Mr. Charles Johnston and Mr. Allen Smith <br />all spoke in opposition to the petition to rezone. <br />Agenda Item 4: Extension of Planning Area of Chapel Hill <br />The 'Chapel Hill Planning pirector presented geographic aspects of y <br />extension. The Chapel Hill Planning Board's Chairperson gave Chapel Hiii's <br />planning objectives and policy. <br />Ms. Jerry Soldi, New Hope Improvement Association, requested the <br />Board refuse Chapel Hi 11 's request to extend the planning area. <br />Mrs. Josephine Barbour, Mr. Will Manrr, Mr. John f. Parks, Mr, Charles <br />Johnston, Mr. Stanley Bennett, Mr. Graham Moody, and three unidentified <br />individuals spoke against extension of the planning area. <br />Mr. Randall Waugh requested the Board table Chape] Hill's request <br />until the Chapel Hill zoning ordinance was amended and all public hearings <br />completed. <br />There being no further in the ubli hearin was con ded. <br />Richard E.
