Classification and Pay Plan Amendment—Add Value Engineer <br /> Classification <br /> The Board considered amending the Orange County Classification and <br /> Pay Plan to reflect the addition of the Value Engineer classification, with a <br /> proposed pay grade of 26. <br /> Commissioner Gordon asked staff about what is budgeted for salaries <br /> and which department. <br /> Purchasing and Central Services Director Pam Jones said that the <br /> amount budgeted is the $64,000 and is in the Purchasing and Central Services <br /> budget. She said that the work they did to budget this position happened <br /> before this came back from the Archer Study, but it will be absorbed. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Hemminger, seconded by <br /> Commissioner Yuhasz to amend the Orange County Classification and Pay Plan <br /> to reflect the addition of the Value Engineer classification, with a proposed pay <br /> grade of 26. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> i. Resolution of Approval — Underwood Conservation Easement <br /> Donation <br /> The Board considered a resolution to approve the acceptance by <br /> Orange County of a conservation easement donation to protect a portion of the <br /> Underwood property and authorizing the Chair and the Clerk to the Board to <br /> sign the conservation easement, subject to final review by the County Attorney <br /> and staff, with a closing and recordation of the document expected to occur on <br /> or about August 31, 2009. <br /> Commissioner Jacobs said that he removed this item so that the Board <br /> could recognize Ms. Barbara Underwood, who is here tonight. He thanked Ms. <br /> Underwood for the conservation easement. <br /> Barbara Underwood thanked the Board of County Commissioners for <br /> allowing her to take part in this program. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Jacobs, seconded by <br /> Commissioner Gordon to adopt the resolution approving the acceptance by <br /> Orange County of the conservation easement and authorize the Chair and the <br /> Clerk to sign the conservation easement agreement, subject to final review by <br /> staff and County Attorney, with a closing and recordation of the document <br /> expected to occur on or about August 31, 2009. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> ff. Public Private Partnerships -West Ten Soccer Center <br /> The Board considered partnerships with members of the business <br /> community in the development and operations of the West Ten Soccer Center <br /> and authorizing the Chair to sign associated contracts or agreements pending <br /> review by the County Attorney. <br /> Commissioner Gordon verified that if no other partners come forward, <br /> the park naming rights will be sold to Eurosport for$30,000 a year for five years. <br />
