Economic Impact Study (Tripp Umbach) <br /> The Tripp Umbach firm was retained by the University of North <br /> Carolina Hospitals (UNCH) to conduct an economic impact study <br /> of expanding the hospital system to a new campus in <br /> Hillsborough, NC. Some preliminary findings of the impact of this <br /> facility by 2013 are: <br /> - Total employment impact from hospital operations is anticipated to <br /> generate a total of 1,893 jobs annually <br /> - Projected total staff at this facility is anticipated to be 581 people of <br /> which 266 will be new hires in 2013 <br /> - Construction is anticipated to generated 2,537 direct and indirect <br /> jobs <br /> - Construction is anticipated to have an impact of $33.6 million in the <br /> local economy <br /> - Town and County government entities are anticipated to receive $1.1 <br /> million in annual local revenues <br />
