I'm Minister Robert Campbell representing the Rogers-
Eubanks Neighborhood Association.
I'm here tonight to ask about resolutions that have been presented by
the Rogers-Eubanks Neighborhood Association that haven't made it into the
agenda and to which we've received no response.
1) What has the Board of County Commissioners done to act on the
resolution presented over a year ago requesting public water and
sewer for the Rogers-Eubanks community that was promised when
the landfill was created in 1972, that was restated when the landfill
was expanded in 1995, was acknowledged again in the final
resolution of the enhancement task force in 2007, and was yet again
recognized by the Assembly of Governments this past Spring?
2) Why hasn't the BOCC voted on the resolution presented on May 18th
that reestablishes Millhouse and Rogers Road as one community? I
am providing another copy for the record this evening —we invite you
to read and act upon the resolution at your earliest opportunity.
3) And finally, I'd like to clarify the origin of the map that has been
circulated by the County that shows incorrect boundaries of the
Rogers-Eubanks neighborhood and leaves out the Millhouse Road
portion of our neighborhood. This map was created during the
enhancement task force negotiations. When we presented the true
Rogers-Eubanks community boundaries, we were told by
government officials, `We can't do it all --- we have to start
somewhere.' The map that is circulating as a result of that meeting
was created to define a starting point for water and sewer services,
not to define the true boundaries of the Rogers-Eubanks community.
This map shows the boundaries of the historic Rogers-Eubanks
community." He pointed to a map.
b. Matters on the Printed Agenda
(These matters were considered when the Board addressed that item on
the agenda below.)
3.
