Commissioners' <br />`Contingency Status <br />Report <br />PURPOSE: To approve budget and grant project ordinance amendments for FY 2008-09. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Social Services <br />1 <br />1. The Department of Social Services has received notification of additional Adoption <br />Enhancement Fund donations: <br />• Foster Care Donations -donations totaling $50 to offset costs for the on-going <br />needs of foster care children. <br />• General Assistance Donations -donations totaling $1,433 to aid special-needs <br />clients, including senior citizens. <br />2. The Department of Social Services has received notification of additional funds from the <br />state for the following programs: <br />• Child Day Care -funds totaling $70,000 to provide childcare services and subsidies <br />to low-income families. <br />• LINKS (Independent Living Services) -funds totaling $6,664 for older foster care <br />children, transitioning out of foster care. <br />(See Attachment 7, Column 7) <br />Library Services <br />
