<br />The Orange County Board of Commissioners r'tet in special session on
<br />Tuesday, January 24, 1978, at 6:00 p.m., in the Culbreath Library of
<br />the Gray Culbreath Junior High School in Chapel Hill, N. C.
<br />Present were Chairman Richard ?ahitted, Commissioners Norman Gustaveson,
<br />Jan Pinney, Norman [~ialker, and Donald ?aillhoit.
<br />Staff personnel present were S. M. Mattis, County Manager and real
<br />Evans, County Finance Directox.
<br />The purpose of the meeting was to consider a resolution prepared by
<br />the County Attorney regarding the sale of. 56,000,000 School.Bonc?s.
<br />The County Pianager informed the Board the necessary documents had
<br />not arrived from Bond Counsel, and suggested the meeting be adjourned to
<br />another time.
<br />Upon motion of Commissioner Pinney, seconded by Commissioner
<br />Gustaveson, it was moved and adopted to adjourn this meeting to meet
<br />again on Friday, January 27, 1977, at 1:00 p.m., in the Commissioners'
<br />Room of the Courthouse in Hillsborough.

<br />The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in adjourned session
<br />on Friday, January 27, 1978, at 1:00 p.m., in the Commissioners' Room of
<br />the Courthouse in Hillsborough.
<br />Present were Chairman Richard T.+Ihitted, Commissioners Jan Pinney,
<br />Norman Walker and Donald ?4i11hoit.
<br />Member absent was Commissiener bTOrman Gustaveson..
<br />Other present were S. t[. Gattis, County t"_anager, Neal Evans, County
<br />Finance Director, Geoffrey Gledhill, County Attorney, and Agatha Johnson,
<br />Clerk to the Board.
<br />The purpose of the meeting was to consider a Resolution regarding the
<br />sale of $6,000,000 in School Bonds.
<br />The County Attorney presented a resolution entitled "Resolution Pro-
<br />viding for the Issuance of $6,000,000 School Bonds" to the Board. He
<br />stated that this document did give the authority to the County T4anager and
<br />the Finance Officer to make changes, which are of material value, to the
<br />Official Statement.
<br />Upon motion of Commissioner Pinney, seconded by Commissioner ~^7illhoit,
<br />it was moved and unanimously adopted to approve the resolution entitled
<br />"Resolution Providing far the Issuance of $6,000,000 School Bonds."

<br />There being no other business to come before the Board, the r_meeting
<br />was adjourned.
