FIRM amendments, the State Attorney General's office <br />4 ein anticipation of the revised 2007 <br />5 issued an opinion in 2005 indicating that amendments to ex isting flood regulations and/or flood <br />6 , maps ought to be treated and processed as zoning amendments <br />7 *in the fall of 2006, the County Attomeys office concurred with this opinion <br />8 aln the Fall of 2008 State and Federal officials conducted a Community Assistance Visit (CAV) <br />9 with staff to review /audit the floodplain management program where we were told to being this <br />10 process <br />11 <br />12 Why we are doing this (continued): <br />13 Staff and the County Attorney had hoped to wait-to incorporate flood regulations into the <br />14 zoning ordinance when work began on developing the Unified Development Ordinance (UDO). <br />15 Given the comments received from State officials during the community visit, we can not longer <br />16 wait for development of the LIDO to begin. <br />17 <br />18 Road Map for Amendments <br />19 ,42-31.
