Blanton, Chief of <br />FEMA?s Engineering Management Section addressed to John M. Link that is stamped <br />with the date of December 2006. This letter states as follows: "Your. community <br />incorporated is <br />currently in the six-month ordinance adoption period f or orange County and <br />areas that will end on February 7, 2007, when the FIS [Flood Insurance, Study] report and <br />for your comthunity Become eff"Ve.11 The letter goes on to state that <br />-Communities that fan to amend their ordinance and submit it to the State and Regional <br />offic6' for review and rip approval will be suspended from participation in the NFIP'. <br />t <br />You have informed me.that the February 7, 2007 deadline stated in this letter is in error, <br />and that you have confirmed with FEMA staff that the six-month ordinance adoption <br />
