National Historic Preservation Month <br />The Board approved the proclamation, which is incorporated by reference, designating the <br />month of May as National Historic Preservation Month with the theme, "This Place Matters", and <br />extended an invitation to the public to participate in the upcoming events. <br />f. Proclamation Recognizing Children's Mental Health Awareness Dav <br />The Board approved a proclamation, which is incorporated by reference, recognizing May 7, <br />2009 as Children's Mental Health Awareness Day in Orange County and authorized the Chair to <br />sign. <br />g_ National Travel and Tourism Week <br />The Board approved a proclamation, which is incorporated by reference, recognizing the week <br />of May 9 through 17, 2009 as National Travel and Tourism Week in Orange County and <br />authorized the Chair to sign. <br />h. Older Americans Month Proclamation <br />The Board approved a proclamation, which is incorporated by reference, designating the month <br />of May as Older Americans Month as a time to honor older citizens for their contributions to <br />society and to Orange County and authorized the Chair to sign the proclamation. <br />i. Lease Approval: Efland Rescue Building <br />The Board approved a $1 per term lease for the Efland Rescue Building, Efland, NC for use by <br />the Emergency Services Department from May 6, 2009 through May 5, 2019 and authorized <br />the Chair to sign. <br />L Child Support Attorney Contract <br />The Board approved a contract with Coleman, Gledhill, Hargrave and Peek to provide legal <br />representation for Child Support Enforcement and authorized the Chair to sign. <br />k. Consolidated Housing Plan Annual Update/HOME Program <br />This item was removed and placed at the end of the consent agenda for separate <br />consideration. <br />I. Adoption/Incorporation of OWASA's Proposed Revisions to its Water Conservation <br />Standards in the Section of Orange County's Water Conservation Ordinance <br />Affecting the OWASA Service Area <br />The Board approved the revisions to the County's Water Conservation Ordinance and directed <br />staff to incorporate those changes into the ordinance. <br />m. Inc. <br />The Board approved: 1) a License Agreement between the County and the Eno River Farmers' <br />Market, Inc., anon-profit corporation; 2) the waiver of the annual license fee of one dollar per <br />year for the initial three-year term; and 3) a one-time appropriation of $5,000 to the Eno River <br />Farmers' Market, Inc. for the initial cost of a Market Manager. <br />~ Approval of FY 2009-19 Recommended County Capital Investment Plan (CIP) <br />
