8. The County has a policy, Policy Number 0470, providing generally for the <br /> defense of and indemnification of County employees. A copy of Policy Number 0470 is <br /> attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. The County has comprehensive general <br /> liability and public official errors and omissions insurance coverage. The County's liability and <br /> public official errors and omissions insurance coverage includes coverage for the County <br /> Attorney as provided in those insurance policies. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> c. Distinguished Budget Presentation Award <br /> The Board recognized the staff of the Orange County Budget Office for earning the <br /> Government Finance Officers' Association Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for the <br /> 2008-2009 fiscal year budget document. <br /> Budget Director Donna Coffey introduced her staff, Budget Analysts Paul <br /> Laughton and Tonya Walton and Technician Allison Chambers. <br /> Laura Blackmon said that this presentation is the highest award and this is the 17th <br /> year that the budget staff has been awarded this award. <br /> 4. Consent Agenda <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Jacobs, seconded by Commissioner Nelson to <br /> approve those items on the consent agenda as stated below: <br /> Chair Foushee reminded the Board that there was additional information on items 4-c <br /> and 4-g. <br /> a. Minutes <br /> The Board approved the minutes from the February 12, 17 and 19, 2009 meetings as <br /> submitted by the Clerk to the Board. <br /> b. Appointments <br /> (1) Adult Care Home Community Advisory Committee — Reappointments <br /> The Board reappointed Peggy Cohn to a second full term ending March 30, 2011; Jerry <br /> Gregory to a third term ending March 31, 2011; and Anita Thompson to a first term ending <br /> March 31, 2011. <br /> (2) Sportsplex Community Advisory Committee — Reappointment <br /> The Board reappointed Will Atherton to a first full term ending September 30, 2010 to the <br /> Sportsplex Community Advisory Committee. <br /> c. Resolution Prescribing County Appointments to the OPC Area Authority Board <br /> The Board approved a proposed resolution, which is incorporated by reference that prescribes <br /> the manner in which the members of the Area Authority Board of the Orange-Person-Chatham <br /> Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities and Substance Abuse Authority shall be appointed. <br /> d. Public Safety Telecommunications Week <br /> The Board approved proclaiming the week of April 12 through 18, 2009 as Public Safety <br /> Telecommunications Week in Orange County and authorized the Chair to sign. <br />
