14 <br />Page 2 of 2 Christopher Cooke <br />Other Comments: <br />As an at-large member of the Board of Health, I believe I could contribute a unique <br />perspective with my skills and experience in marketing and health communication. I <br />founded and directed the North Carolina Public Health Awareness Program for almost 10 <br />years and, as a result, I'm very sensitive to how public health agencies and services are <br />preceived by the public. I directed the only survey of attitudes, knowledge and opinions <br />about public health services, programs and agencies ever conducted in North Carolina. I <br />have consulted with many local health departments. I have worked with the current <br />Orange County Health Director in several different capacities and have a commitment to <br />advancing public health in Orange County.
