For 10 years I did continuing education and training for state and local public <br />health agencies. In 1995, I designed and became the director of the NC Public Health <br />Awareness Program. Before working in public health, I did clinical counseling and <br />training with the Wright School Residential Treatment Program for Adollescents in <br />Durham. In the mid-1970s, I worked for two years in the Orange County School System <br />in a dropout prevention program.
