ORANGE COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />ACTION AGENDA ITEM ABSTRACT <br />Meeting Date: August 18, 2009 <br />Action Agenda <br />Item No. 4 - 5 <br />SUBJECT: Changes in BOCC Re ular Meetin Schedule for 2009 <br />DEPARTMENT: County Commissioners PUBLIC HEARING: (Y/N) No <br />ATTACHMENT (S): <br />INFORMATION CONTACT: <br />Donna Baker, 245-2130 <br />PURPOSE: To consider two changes in the County Commissioners' regular meeting calendar for year <br />2009. <br />BACKGROUND: Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40, the Board of County <br />Commissioners must fix the time and place of its meetings or provide a notice of any change in <br />the Regular Meeting Schedule by: <br />• Changing the location of the September 10, 2009 BOCC Work Session FROM Link <br />Government Services Center in Hillsborough TO Orange County Emergency Services, <br />510 Meadowlands Dr. in Hillsborough (off of Hwy 70-A near the SportsPlex~this <br />meeting will start at 7:00 p.m.; and, <br />• Changing the location of the October 13, 2009 BOCC Advisory Board meeting (5:30 <br />p.m.) and the BOCC Work Session (7:00 p.m.) FROM Link Government Services Center <br />in Hillsborough TO the Southern Human Services Center, 2501 Homestead Road, <br />Chapel Hill. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: NONE <br />RECOMMENDATION (S): The Manager recommends the Board amend its regular meeting <br />calendar for 2009 by: <br />Changing the location of the September 10, 2009 BOCC Work Session FROM Link <br />Government Services Center in Hillsborough TO Orange County Emergency Services, <br />510 Meadowlands Dr. in Hillsborough (off of Hwy 70-A near the SportsPlex~this <br />meeting will start at 7:00 p.m.; and, <br />Changing the location of the October 13, 2009 BOCC Advisory Board meeting (5:30 <br />p.m.) and the BOCC Work Session (7:00 p.m.) FROM Link Government Services Center <br />in Hillsborough TO the Southern Human Services Center, 2501 Homestead Road, <br />Chapel Hill. <br />
