5 <br />Every precaution will be taken to assure the return of submission materials, but Orange County Arts Commission, <br />Orange County Parks and Recreation Department, and Orange County cannot be responsible for the loss or <br />damage of any materials. <br />Proposal Submission Requirements <br />A one-page resume listing relevant experience, including temporary environmental art installations if applicable. <br />Up to two-paces of sketches, diagrams or computer renderings of your proposed artwork, including scale, media <br />and the approximate lifespan of the artwork. <br />A detailed description, including dimensions, materials, installation, lifespan, interactivity, content and physical <br />impact. Be sure to include what your proposed artwork means to you and what you're trying to communicate. <br />A well thought out clean-up plan. YOU MAY NOT LEAVE ANYTHING BEHIND. <br />Slides or CD containing up to ten images of recent works. <br />A one-page annotated image list, listing the title, media, dimensions, and year of completion. Your name should <br />appear at the top of the image list. Images maybe submitted either digitally on a CD or with 35 mm slides. <br />All printed materials must be in black ink on white 8 ~/z" x 11"paper. <br />Do not staple pages or submit them in a binder or in plastic sheets. <br />Size: Not to be more than 1920 pixels in either height or width. <br />File format: baseline jpg <br />Compression: files should not be larger than 1.2 MB <br />File Names: each jpg must be titled with the artist's name and number that <br />corresponds to the annotated image list. For example - johndoe0l.jpg, <br />johndoe02.jpg. <br />If you are using a mac, please note that computers sometime have <br />trouble identifying images that are burnt to a CD using iphoto. <br />Questions/Follow Up <br />Questions about the project should be directed to Martha Shannon at 919/245-2335, a-mail: <br />mshannon@co.orange.nc.us <br />Late submissions will not be accepted.
