4
Memorandum
To: Donna Baker, County Clerk
From: Gayle Wilson, Solid Waste Management Director
Subject: Solid Waste Advisory Board Vacancy
Date: July 30, 2009
The Solid Waste Advisory Board (SWAB) term for the position occupied by Ms. Bonnie
Norwood has expired. I wish to present some information relative to the possibility of
Ms. Norwood being considered for reappointment.
Based on my review of attendance records, Ms. Norwood was absent 3 of the past 10
meetings. To my knowledge her absences were related to a medical related inability to
attend. She dutifully informed us in advance of her pending absence.
In my opinion, for meetings attended Ms. Norwood was a fully engaged and participating
member whose questions, comments, perspectives and opinions were an important
contribution to the ongoing function of the SWAB. Ms. Norwood also represents the
important Rogers Road community whose interest in Solid Waste related matters is well
established.
Therefore, I recommend Bonnie Norwood for consideration for reappointment to the
expired SWAB term. I welcome any questions or further inquiry into this matter.
cc: Frank Clifton, Manager
