She stated that she <br />brought the land. in Eno ?'ownship because it was zoned. She ad.det~ that <br />she horsed the land woulc? remain a suite, residential district. A.1so, <br />noises from the present location, which is located cliacronally across <br />26 acres of woodland, could be heard at her home. <br />T?rs. Eva T^larren spoke against the rezoning rec?uest. <br />T?rs. 7"Territt's mother spoke against the rezoning request and stated. <br />that her daughter had a lung problem whiih woulc? be irritated by c~.ust <br />which would be generated. <br />Mr. gates stated that he would be willing to work with those in the <br />neighborhood to handle the noise and the c?ust Arohlems. <br />Mrs. Johnson, a resident of the Lawrence Road area, stated that she <br />felt it was not right to .put a business on this land where peoT7le have <br />lived for years. , <br />Chairman Bonar turned the meeting over to Commissioner tialker. <br />Mr. P?alker declared that the public hearing was concluded. <br />He stated that Chairman T~'hittec~ had requested that the !3oarc~ c~iseuss <br />a date rmutually agreed. upon by both ?3oards _to conc?uct a public hearing in <br />the Southern part of the County to discuss the Extraterritorial jurisdic- <br />tion request of the Town of Chanel Hill. <br />Tuesday, October 4, 1977, was scheftulecl as the public hearin« to <br />hear the extraterritorial jurisdiction request of Chapel ?ill.
