I <br />c. Decrease child abuse and neglect -90 percent of families in the program will not have <br />substantiated cases of child abuse and neglect. <br />Renewable annually, the agreement period is for four years and four months, from January 1, 1999 <br />through April 30, 2003 (the end of the grant period.) The contract will reimburse the Health <br />Department for actual expenditures for salaries and fringe benefits for the two positions not to <br />exceed $7,500.00 per month unless agreed to by both parties. Each year the reimbursement amount <br />will be adjusted based on county personnel cost of living adjustments and other benefits <br />adjustments. CHTOP will provide office space, supplies, mileage reimbursement, training <br />resources and computer and telephone support for the positions. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends the Board approve the contract, authorize <br />the Chair to sign and approve the establishment of two permanent full -time social worker II <br />positions at salary grade 67, subject to the continuation of grant funds. <br />
