12 <br />Chapel Hill Town Council member and EPA official Julie Andreson- "Terrific idea! <br />I'd like to see a major revolution in the kind of cars we drive. I'd like to see everybody <br />drive an electric vehicle to work. <br />Chapel Hill Town Council member Joyce Brown- "Electric vehicles are a positive step <br />toward moving us in the direction of renewable energies. Conversion to EV's is <br />important because of the ability to eventually convert to photo - voltaic recharge, a <br />renewable energy source." <br />Sierra Club, Greg Gangi- "I think the project is marvelous. It is a good example of <br />where we might be going in the future." <br />Sierra Club, Trish Rafalow- "Love it. I want one." <br />Greens Club member and community activist, Mark Marcoplos- "I know about <br />EV's. They are the wave of the future. We will watch as Carrboro institutes its EV <br />project and know that its going to be a national trend. This puts us ahead of that <br />movement." <br />Mayor of Carrboro Mike Nelson- "It is a really exciting project The sort of thing that <br />Carrboro can do and do well.' <br />Carrboro Board of Aldermen member and Executive Director of Pesticide Education <br />and Agricultural Resources Allen Spalt- "Conversions will allow us to start working on <br />our own vehicles again." <br />Triangle Land Conservancy, Livy Ludington- "We are all aware that as traffic <br />increases in this area, our air qu' i y is rapidly deteriorating. Carrboro's commitment to <br />protect the environment is demonstrated by this project" <br />
