A <br />County Commissioner does not serve on this Commission. <br />HUMAN RELATIONS COMMISSION: This Commission was established by the Board of <br />Commissioners in 1987. They seek to prevent and eliminate bias and discrimination and advise <br />the Board of County Commissioners with respect to matters relating to the Commissions <br />purpose. A County Commissioner does not serve on this commission. <br />HUMAN SERVICES TRANSPORTATION BOARD: This Board was established by the Board of <br />Commissioners. They are charged with recommending policy to the Commissioners. A County <br />Commissioner does not serve on this Board. <br />HYCONEECHEE REGIONAL LIBRARY: This Board was established by the Board of <br />Commissioners in Caswell, Person and Orange Counties. A County Commissioner is not <br />required to serve on this board, <br />INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT REVENUE AUTHORITY BOARD: This Board was created by <br />Notice of Intent by the Board of Commissioners. A County Commissioner does not serve on <br />this board. (I.R.A. Authority) <br />PERSONNEL ADVISORY BOARD: This Board is created by the Orange County Personnel <br />Ordinance. It's not mandated by the State. A County Commissioner does not serve on this <br />Board. <br />SHAPING ORANGE COUNTY'S FUTURE TASK FORCE: This Task Force is charged with <br />gathering information, identifying common values and objectives, and formulating strategies. <br />Upon completion of the tasks, recommendations would be presented to local governing boards. <br />A county Commissioner does not serve on this Task Force. <br />TRIANGLE J EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES ADVISORY COUNCIL: This Council acts to <br />advise and aid the Triangle J Council of Governments to address regional EMS issues as <br />defined by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, to foster communication among <br />regional EMS provides and to serve as a liaison between member counties and the state.. A <br />County Commissioner does not serve on this Council. <br />WORKPLACE DEVELOPMENT BOARD (was the Private Industry Council): This Council <br />operates regionally under the auspices of the Triangle J Council of Governments. A County <br />Commissioner does not serve on this Council. <br />YOUTH SERVICES ADVISORY COMMISSION (to become the Juvenile Crime Prevention <br />Council-see relevant page): This commission was established by the Board of Commissioners <br />to allocate State CBA funds.
